“Blondie” 2year old filly by Avonbridge out of Bahawir Pour by Green Dancer goes into training with Mark Brisbourne. A Half share has been purchased by John Babb of Shropshire Wolves. Watch this space for updates on her progress.

More great news as the first mare covered by Kinsale Stud's resident welsh B stallion is scanned in foal.

A big lift for Kinsale Stud
Fantastic news to lift the moral of Kinsale Stud as Wood Fern has his tendon scanned to see if it has healed after a career stopping injury...... and it has!!
All the hard work and dedication of all at Kinsale Stud has paid off as thanks to the use of our new “ZAMAR” machine Wood Fern has made a full recovery and will return to training with Donald McCain in June 2009.
We would like to thank Wood Ferns owners The General Mens Racing club for their continued support of Kinsale Stud and wish them the best of luck with him in 2009.
To top off an already fantastic day PUNJABI trained by Nicky Henderson and owned by Mr Ray Tooth wins the £210,000 Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham at 22-1 beating Celestial Halo, and punters favorite Binocular. Next stop Punchestown!

Kinsale Stud says goodbye to Annie
The saddest day in the history of Kinsale Stud as we loose the much loved daughter of Kinsale Hopeful Clover – Ann D'or and her filly foal by Heartbeat.
Born on the stud “Annie” will be greatly missed by all who knew her as a gentle, beautiful mare.
